  • Relevancy Purposes: to provide Users with the most relevant experiences on our Platform and versions of our mobile applications.

  • Technical Purposes: to provide notices, updates, security alerts and support information; to analyze usage trends in the aggregate; and to administer our Platform. For mobile devices, we use analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your phone or tablet. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data and from where the application was downloaded.

  • Customer Service Purposes: to communicate with you via email, SMS or other methods about questions or issues you may have.

  • Transactional Purposes: to contact Users with special offers, promotions, event notifications, to facilitate interactions with advertisers whose videos you have viewed.

  • Reporting Purposes: to share consumer data with fraud detection services, advertisers, product vendors and, when required by law, governmental agencies.

  • Third-Party Sources: information obtained from third parties, such as advertisers, the public domain, governmental and other public sources, commercial data aggregators, or through coops and exchanges where advertisers and Platform operators pool consumer data and make it available to other coop or exchange participants.

5. How does such third-party data-sharing occur?

We assign a unique generic user ID ("GUID") to each User. GUIDs are anonymized and contain no personally identifiable information. We use GUIDs to track and report on Users' engagement with our Platform and advertisers' content. GUIDs may be shared with third-party advertisers to facilitate and report on a User's engagement with advertisements or offers from such third parties. We may share a User's Google Advertising ID with application tracking companies so they can track and report to us whether a User has viewed, clicked on or accepted an advertiser's offer.

We may provide User contact information and data to selected third-party advertisers to present our Users with offers and information geared towards their interests. LGTV is not and cannot be responsible for the activities or privacy policies of these third parties.

Our applications may contain tools from third-party service providers that enable those third parties to collect and analyze non-personally identifiable information from Users' devices in accordance with such third parties' own privacy policies and subject to the legal requirements that apply to them.

In the event of a merger, acquisition or change of control of LGTV, customer data would be considered a business asset and would pass to the successor. We will disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law, as, for example, when necessary to respond to a subpoena or other court order. We may also disclose consumer data to protect the safety and security of our Users.

We may use other third-party vendors such as e-mail service providers to provide e-mail delivery services. We may share your consumer data to enable these third parties to provide these services. These third parties are prohibited from using your consumer data for any other purpose (including their own marketing purposes). We may share your personally identifiable information with our affiliates, technical consultants, auditors, attorneys and other third parties who work with us to make our Platform and services available.

6. What are cookies, unique identifiers and other tracking technologies?

LGTV and its partners use cookies, unique identifiers or similar technologies to recognize User access privileges to the Platform, analyze trends, administer the Platform, track Users’ movements around the Platform, add advertisements we think may interest you, estimate our audience size and gather demographic information about our User base as a whole.

A cookie is a small data file that a Platform can send to the browser on your computer when you link to that Platform. A cookie can hold information deposited in the file by the Platform, which can then be read by other sites. A cookie is not a computer program; it does not extract personal information about you or from your computer; and it does not read data on your hard drive or instruct your computer to perform any function. You may be able to use your browser to give you the option of accepting or rejecting a cookie whenever you visit a Platform. You may also be able to use your browser or other software to clear cookies from your browser any time you wish. However, deleting a Platform's cookie may mean that some features of our Platform will not operate correctly.

A unique identifier is an anonymous token or User ID that is unique to you and can be used to identify you when you return to our Platform or visit other Platforms. When you register for our Platform, we may create such a unique identifier, which may be an encoded or “hashed” version of your email address. We may share such unique identifiers with our trusted advertising partners and service providers to deliver advertising to you and enable access to content across the internet. Advertising partners and service providers with whom we work have committed to using unique identifiers to deliver relevant advertising that also respects consumer choices and preferences.

Besides cookies and unique identifiers, we may use web beacons, tracking pixels or similar tracking mechanisms to track your usage patterns on our Platform. Like cookies and unique identifiers, these small files do not store, record or share any personal information about you.

We may utilize third-party internet service providers to collect site traffic data through the use of such tracking technologies that can be embedded in our Platform. These service providers can then provide us with aggregate and anonymous usage data to allow us to improve our Platform. This usage data cannot be associated with any personal information we have about you.

7. Targeted or Behavioral Advertising:

We may use your Personal Information to tailor our marketing and advertising efforts. To do this, we may provide your information to third party advertising networks (such as Google Doubleclick) and social media companies (such as Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms). When we provide data to agencies, ad networks, and other parties for targeted advertising, we do not provide them with your name, financial information, or any sensitive information (such as a government ID or date of birth, if we have collected that). We use online identifiers such as email, cookie addresses, and device identifiers to help us provide targeted advertising to you and others like you. We may also use aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the Personal Information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to target audiences.

To opt out of targeted advertising, you may use the following links provided by third parties that manage opt outs for some ad networks:

Your choice to opt-out will indicate to advertising partners and service providers you no longer wish to receive targeted advertising based on your cookies, unique identifier or other technology. Opting out may limit your ability to access advertising-supported content; if you wish to access such content in the future, you may be asked to opt-in again.

Please note these methods will opt you out of targeted ads from LGTV and from other participating advertisers. If you opt-out, you may continue to receive online advertising from LGTV or such other advertisers; however, these ads will not be targeted to your interests and therefore may not be as relevant to you or directed to subjects in which you are interested. Moreover, if you prefer LGTV not sell your data to third parties, please send an email to privacy@lakegeorge.tv

8. Can I opt-out of receiving email from LGTV?

If you prefer, or have other questions, you can contact us via email at: privacy@lakegeorge.tv.

If you have provided consumer data directly to our third-party marketing partners and are receiving email communications directly from these third parties, LGTV cannot in most instances unsubscribe you from these third-party email programs. If you wish to unsubscribe from one of our marketing partners, please follow the unsubscribe procedures within their e-mails or in their privacy policy.

9. Can I opt-out of data collection and use by LGTV?

If you wish to request we no longer use your information to provide you with special offers and reminders please contact us at privacy@lkegeorge.tv. We must still retain and use your information for regulatory, record retention or archival purposes, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, and for similar purposes. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

Residents of some states have additional rights to control access to and use of their data. Please see the state-specific statements of privacy rights below.

Although we believe the measures we take to safeguard your data are appropriate, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. To further protect your data, we recommend you use complex passwords for your accounts with us and for accounts with third parties you link to any of your accounts with us. Please do not use the same passwords you use for LGTV for other services or share your password with unauthorized people.

14. Your California Privacy Rights:

If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of your Personal Information, such as the right to opt-out.  If you do not want us to share your Personal Information with unaffiliated or non-agent third parties for promotional purposes, you can opt-out by emailing us at privacy@lakegeorge.tv.

You will be asked to provide certain information to exercise this option so we can verify your identity and locate your records with us. Please note your decision to opt out of the sharing of your Personal Information may impact the availability and quality of some of the Services provided to you. Furthermore, your information may still be shared pursuant to the terms of this Policy, where such sharing does not constitute a sale.
